What To Expect

This course is suitable for hairstylists / cosmetologists who wish to learn more about the field of Trichology in order to provide exceptional guest care through scientific holistic approaches. 

Students will gain an introduction to the fundamentals of hair and scalp science. The most common types of hair and scalp disorders, hair loss conditions and treatment options will be examined in detail.

Discover more about the practice of trichology and how you can use hair and scalp science to propel your business forward.

  • genetic hair loss in both men and women,
  • diffuse hair loss and common types of alopecia,
  • telogen effluvium,
  • cicatricial alopecia,
  • traction alopecia,
  • alopecia areata,
  • diseases and disorders of the hair and scalp,
  • acids and hair bonds,
  • structure and functions of skin and hair,
  • hair texture in relation to salon services,
  • UVA and UVB radiation effects on the hair and scalp,
  • skin pH and hydration relationship to hair and scalp health,
  • scalp aging relationship to facial skin aging,
  • healthy hair and scalp programs,
  • systematic methods for conducting effective consultations,
  • hair supplements and vitamins,
  • effective use of trichoscopes for cosmetic scalp and hair analysis,
  • the business of trichology, and
  • how to gain greater creative opportunities through hair science. 

YOU WILL RECEIVE:

  • AIT Associate Certificate of Trichology – Principles Of Hair Science
  • a comprehensive hair science training package,
  • on going support from the AIT, and
  • refreshments (lunch, tea, coffee).

Duration: 2 Full days (9am – 5pm)

Student face to face delivery seminar fee : $600 AUD per attendee, groups of 10 or more required.
