To complete the AIT online learning program, students will need the following skills and resources:

–     fundamental computer skills,

–     digital literacy skills,

–     the ability to remain motivated as an in-expectant learner, 

–     the ability to perform web searches,

–     time management skills,

–     A reliable computer and internet access,

–     Access to the AIT e-learning platform and

–     reading and writing and typing skills.

Students will be required to review course materials, be comfortable reading documents on a computer screen, or listening to recorded material.

YOUR LEARNING JOURNEY

AIT principles of hair and scalp science have been designed using a PowerPoint presentation with a voice-over for students who prefer to listen to the learning topics (students may select to turn the volume off or down and read through the document.  Students are informed of hair science topics related to Cosmetologists and Trichologists’ practices. The language used in the learning material is scientific. It provides an excellent learning opportunity for students to research the key topics, phrases, and words that may not be known or understood through internet searches, sourcing, and reviewing recommended literature and the reference links listed at the end of the AIT presentation.

AIT will not charge any fee for your access request but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your Personal Information.

In order to protect your Personal Information, we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

It is an important to us that your Personal Information is up to date. We will  take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up-to-date.
